Synopsis: 

Smith’s Car and Other Stories is a collection of short, easy‑to‑read tales written for beginner English learners. The main story, “Smith’s Car,” is about Mr. Smith and his old car — people in the neighbourhood joke about it, it makes strange noises, and it causes small, funny problems for him and his family. The other stories in the book are similarly short and focus on everyday events, simple characters, and everyday conversations. All the stories use basic English and help learners practise reading.

This book is a good place to start reading. The stories aren’t very long. Some of them are very interesting, while others are less so.
