Synopsis: 

Kyra is a 15-year-old girl who wants to become a warrior like her father. She is an excellent archer and has a mysterious power she doesn’t fully understand. She also feels that something about her birth is being kept secret. When a powerful lord tries to claim her, her father wants her to marry him for safety—but Kyra refuses and runs away. In the forest, she meets an injured dragon, starting events that will change the whole kingdom.

At the same time, 15-year-old Alec takes his brother’s place in the army and is sent to a dangerous wall of fire that protects the kingdom from Trolls. In another part of the land, Merk, a former mercenary, travels through the forest hoping to become a Watcher and protect the Sword of Fire, a magical weapon the kingdom depends on. But the Trolls want the Sword too, and they are getting ready for a huge invasion.

I’ve already listened to the audiobook twice, and I really like it. It’s a great reading recommendation for anyone who enjoys dragon stories.
